ACK Archbishop pays a courtesy visit to JOOUST

The Archbishop Anglican Church of Kenya, His grace, The Most. Rev. Dr. Jackson Nasoore Ole Sapit has today paid a courtesy call to the University, accompanied by the ACK Bondo Diocese Bishop Rt. Rev. Prof. David Kodia and his team.

The visit coincides with the Archbishop’s mission to visit schools and churches.

While addressing the University leadership and staff, His grace Rev. Dr. Ole Sapit encouraged the University to establish a value based leadership that would provide long term solutions. “Science and Technology should not take over human values. This will ensure we still have a people who are innovation but are governed by a sound value system which connect the soul to God.” Said Rev. Dr.Ole Sapit.

While welcoming the Archbishop, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Stephen Agong’, thanked the church for the noble gesture, of reaching out to the community and more so Institutions. “It is a great privilege and honor to have His Grace, the Archbishop pay the University a courtesy call. We do not take this gesture for granted and hope that we can have more spiritual interactions with the entire university fraternity once the students are in session. “Said Prof. Agong’.

The Archbishop assured the University of the support of the church and advised the leadership to locate areas the Church can attach value to the innovation and development, particularly in Science and Technology.

Through his tenure, the Church has developed a 10-year strategy themed “wholesome ministry for a wholesome nation”. Wholesome ministry emphasizes the necessity for the ACK to include all aspects of the service rendered to society as a whole, both within and outside church circles such as governance, education, family, media and more.
